Privacy Policy

Swore Born Games is a solo independent game developer (“we”, “the operator”). This policy covers two things: this website, and the private scheduling tool we use to publish our own posts to our own social media accounts.

This website

This site is a set of static pages. We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, we do not set cookies, and we do not ask you for any personal information. Our hosting provider records ordinary web server request logs, which we do not use to identify visitors.

Our publishing tool

We run a private, self-hosted deployment of Postiz, an open-source social media scheduler, on a computer on our own local network. Registration on it is disabled and the operator is its only user. It exists to schedule and publish our own game-development content — screenshots, devlogs and gameplay clips — to accounts we own on Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Bluesky.

When one of our own accounts is connected to it through that platform's official OAuth flow, the application stores:

the account identifier issued by the platform;
basic profile information the platform returns — display name, username and avatar URL;
where the platform provides it, our own aggregate statistics and a list of our own previously published posts, shown as posting history;
the OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to publish on that account's behalf;
the media files and post text that we choose to schedule.

On Pinterest specifically, the tool reads our own boards and Pins so it can show us where a Pin will be published, and creates Pins on our own boards when we schedule them. It does not read, collect or store data belonging to any other Pinterest user.

We use the Pinterest API. We are not endorsed by, sponsored by or affiliated with Pinterest. We access only data that we ourselves have authorized through Pinterest's own OAuth flow — our own account, our own boards and our own Pins — and never another Pinterest user's data. We do not sell, resell, redistribute or share Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data with anyone. If we disconnect the account, or authorization is revoked from Pinterest's settings, retrieval stops immediately and any stored Pinterest-derived data is deleted within 30 days.

YouTube

Our publishing tool uses YouTube API Services to upload our own videos to our own YouTube channel and to show that channel's own statistics. By connecting a channel you are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. We access only our own channel's data, never share or sell it, and do not use it for advertising. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page; stored YouTube data is then deleted within 7 days. What we do not do

We do not collect data about other people's accounts. We do not sell, rent, share or otherwise disclose data to third parties. We do not use any of it for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or training machine-learning models. The tool is not offered to anyone else as a service and has no public sign-up.

Where data is stored

Everything above lives in a PostgreSQL database on a single computer on our own private network, not with a third-party cloud provider. Access requires authentication to the application, and all communication with social platforms happens over HTTPS.

Retention and deletion

Tokens and profile information are kept only while the account remains connected. Disconnecting a channel inside the application deletes its stored tokens and profile data. Access tokens also expire on the platform's own schedule. Authorization can be withdrawn at any time from the platform's own app-permissions settings, which immediately invalidates our access.

Children

Neither this website nor the publishing tool is directed at children, and the tool is not accessible to anyone but the operator.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Questions, or any request about data, go to sworeborngames@gmail.com and are answered within 30 days.
